I truly enjoyed working with Ken Annandale and Lisa for the opening ceremony as an audience leader. The show was superb and world-class.
Thanks a lot for the laugher Ken.

well"the games have gone smoothly so far, haowever, one thing that really disturbed me personally was the way in which they were marketed to the general public. one wonders who was incharge of the PR, and marketing. People have been complaining about not being aware of the games in their respective areas. The other important factor that the organisers did not consider was the fact of not having any particular sporting code to take place at Alexander. How on earth did they come to the conclusion of sidelining the People of Alex. |

When I heard the AAG was coming to SA I was very excited. Since I live in Windhoek, Namibia, I realized that this would be the opportunity of a lifetime to see a major sporting event. As the games approached, I started to panic because I couldn"t get and information. By last week I realised that it would be fruitless to try to go, because I couldn"t be assured that I"d get tickets for events. I couldn"t find out what was happening where and when. Judging from comments and media reports, it was possibly a wise decision. Unfortunately SABC seems to concentrate on Football, womens gymnastics and swimming. I like all of these sports, but I wish they would have a better coverage! I realize they must cater for the local market and concentrate on events in which SA does best and is interested in. I suppose I must be thankfullthat SA doesn"t have great gold medal prospects in Chess or Tiddlywinks! I trust that as other events e.g. Athletics start up, there"ll be greater diversity. |

Here in Canada we rely on the internet for coverage of the AAG. This is a welcome site to have. |
